Our Team

Our team consists of community leaders dedicated to fostering biblical literacy and spiritual growth for the next generation. These individuals make up the Appalachian Christian Leadership Council. Our main priority is to create and manage released-time programs that allow public school students to study the Bible for academic credit.

Our View

In 2019, the Lord began to lay the groundwork for the Appalachian Leadership Council. The AppCLC officially became a nonprofit 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in November 2023. After a lot of prayer, hard work, and community support, the Towns County School Board approved the installation of our first Christian Learning Center.

Our Mission

The purpose and mission of AppCLC is to share God’s word with the children, youth, adults and families in the “Quad County’ area of the north Georgia and North Carolina mountains which includes Union and Towns Counties in Georgia and Clay and Cherokee Counties in North Carolina.

Our Faith

The Appalachian Christian Leadership Council operates and has as its foundation faith in Jesus Christ. Specifically we believe:

  • The Bible is God’s inerrant Word handed down to his followers and is considered to be the Christian’s handbook of life.

What is a Christian Leadership Center?

A Christian Leadership Center operates an approved Released-Time Bible Education (RTBE) program as an elective class in the county public school system for credit.
