Our Faith

The Appalachian Christian Leadership Council operates and has as its foundation faith in Jesus Christ. Specifically we believe:

• The Bible is God’s inerrant Word handed down to his followers and is considered to be the Christian’s handbook of life.
• God is present in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
• God created the heavens and the earth and all that is therein.
• Jesus, the son of God, was conceived by the Holy Spirit. He lived a sinless life on earth. He demonstrated and taught good works. He was crucified on a cross for the sins of the world. On the third day Jesus miraculously rose from his grave and appeared to hundreds of people.
• Forty (40) days later He ascended to heaven and now sits at the right hand of God the Father.
• All men and women are in need of salvation and face the judgment of God. Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation.
• All those who repent of their sins and believe in Jesus Christ are considered to be the Body of Christ and are known collectively as his followers, the church. These believers, led by the Holy Spirit, strive to lead a life pleasing to God.
• The purpose of the Church and its members is to glorify God and with a sense of urgency proclaim the good news of God’s salvation to the entire world.
