Exciting News for Towns County Students!

An exciting new elective class is available for Towns County students, grades 9-12 this spring semester during 2nd block. It is an off-campus class, a bus will pick up at the school and take you and your classmates a short drive to a beautiful classroom at Hiawasse Park.

The class is a fun, interesting “Introduction to the Bible”. We will use teaching, games, discussions and videos to explore the Bible. This class is good for you whether you know nothing at all about the Bible or feel you know a lot. The class is designed to be fun for students whether you are a “straight A student” or you struggle with classwork.

You don’t have to be “religious” to take the class, but we hope you it will be encouraging in the middle of your school day.You will receive regular elective credit for the class. There is no cost to take the class.

See Ms. Dionne Berrong, school counselor to change and add this class to your Spring Schedule, as soon as possible!

Your parent or guardian will have to sign a permission form for you to take the class.

Appalachian CLC Now Offers Release Time Bible Education!

Release Time Education?

Release Time Learning Programs allow public high school students to take a non-government funded bible class as part of their regular school schedule and receive elective class credit toward their high school diploma. Our classes provide a broad overview of the Bible, providing basic knowledge to those who may have never studied the Scripture. In addition, students that choose to take the course receive some spiritual encouragement in the middle of their busy and sometimes difficult public high school experience.
